Sarah Preston has been the Head of the Pre-Prep and Nursery for 10 years so Culford has become a second home for her. She also understands the ethos of the School; challenging, enriching and fun. The current Nursery will continue to run at Culford Pre-Prep, offering a Pre-Reception year to children aged 3-4 years. Although there will be a new designated Nursery Manager, Sarah will continue to oversee all schools.
Here is a little more about Sarah and her vision for the new Nursery…
What did you do before you came to Culford?
I worked as an Intensive Support Programme consultant for Lincolnshire Local Education Authority and the Centre for British Teaching.
Why do you enjoy working at Culford?
Culford is a fantastic setting to work in and I really enjoy working with the children. I’m also lucky enough to have a fabulous team to work with. There is a strong community and family feel at Culford and it is a very happy place to work, there is always a lot of laughter.
What are your interests outside of School?
I love to read, listen to music and I enjoy going to the theatre. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
What will be the biggest advantage of the new Nursery?
It will allow further flexibility for our parents. We know that there is a need to provide childcare earlier and parents want to leave their young children somewhere happy, safe and secure.
What sets Culford’s Nursery apart from others?
The building is very much a home environment and it will be intentionally small, giving children the space and flexibility to grow.
