Peter Flood is an Old Culfordian and joined the Board of Governors in 2018. After leaving Culford, he obtained an LLB from London University and qualified as a solicitor in 1975.
Peter spent his entire career in London working in private practice in defendant insurance litigation. During his career he acted for a number of major insurers including AXA, RSA, QBE, Aviva and Direct Line. He specialised in defending professional negligence, employers’ liability, public liability and catastrophic road traffic claims on behalf of their policyholders.
Peter retired in 2014 and is now a professional traveller! Since retiring he has visited over 15 countries including Peru, Burma, Namibia, Botswana, Cuba and the Galapagos Islands with many more trips still in the pipeline. He keeps fit by going to the gym and also enjoys gardening and watching sport, particularly rugby and cricket, interests which he developed at Culford where he played for the first XV and the first XI teams. He lives in Northwood with his wife Frances and has two grown-up daughters who were both privately educated.
