Viscount Chelsea joined the Board of Governors at Culford in 2003 and became the School’s Patron in 2010. The Cadogan family owned Culford Hall and the surrounding 10,000 acre estate until 1935 when the Hall, together with some 500 acres, was bought by the Methodist Board for the East Anglian School for Boys – Culford School as we now know it.

Viscount Chelsea joined the Royal Air Force in 1987, serving in the RAF Regiment. Postings included Germany, Cyprus, Norway and Canada. Operational tours included the first Gulf War. He left the RAF in 1998 and now works as a Board Director in the family company, Cadogan Estates Limited. Viscount Chelsea also manages the family’s Scottish estate in Perthshire and holds a number of appointments as a Director and Trustee.

In 2002 Viscount Chelsea joined his local Territorial Army regiment, the 51st Highland Regiment (now 7 SCOTS). He now serves as Commanding Officer of 7 SCOTS. He divides his time equally between London and Scotland, and is married to Tina with whom he has three children. He spends his spare time keeping fit, engaging in country pursuits, skiing and leading an outdoor, active life.
