Tax Efficient Giving
Culford School Foundation is a registered charity which offers donors a variety of financial advantages.
Under the HMRC Gift Aid rules, if you are a UK tax payer, Culford School Foundation is able to claim back the basic rate of tax paid on all donations. If you sign a Gift Aid declaration we will receive an additional 25 pence for every £1 that you give to Culford. In addition, if you are a higher rate tax payer, you can claim the difference between the higher rate of tax (currently 40% or 45%) and the basic rate (currently 20%) on the total 'gross' value of your donation to Culford.
If you choose to donate shares or property you can save 40% capital gains tax and deduct the full value of the shares or property from you income for tax purposes.
If you choose to leave a legacy to Culford School Foundation, any such bequest will be free from inheritance tax.

Donating from the United States
Culford School is an educational institution which supports the British Schools and Universities Foundation [BSUF]. The BSUF makes grants to selected British Commonwealth educational, scientific and literary institutions. This means that United States taxpayers can make tax deductible contributions to the BSUF of cash, securities, charitable trusts, testamentary trusts or individual retirement accounts, expressing a preference for grants in support of specific projects. The BSUF then disburses these grants without charging fees or commission.
If you are a US tax payer and you would like to support Culford in this way please contact the Foundation Director, Samantha Salisbury in the first instance by emailing email@example.com. You may also wish to visit the BSUF website for more information www.bsuf.org where you can also download their Donor Transmittal Form.
Please contact us if you have queries about donating from other overseas countries.
